Evidence shows that emotions matter: at work, at home and in our lives.
We are researchers interested in finding out more about the emotional demands we face in the workplace and how we manage those demands, both as individuals and as organisations.
Our emotional experiences are very important to us and they can have strong influences on the decisions we make and our quality of life. However, the importance of emotion in the workplace is often overlooked.
We aim to find out more about how emotions affect people at work, particularly people in emotionally demanding professions. We completed a study on Emotional Intelligence in Social Work in 2016 funded by The Economic and Social Research Council. Find out more.
