Teaching offers you a rewarding career
Teaching is creative and invigorating. It is a fast moving profession which is varied and offers many opportunities to work in different contexts with excellent opportunities for career progression. We welcome applications from recent graduates and also from those considering a career change.
Gaining School Experience
If you are an undergraduate student at UEA you can apply for A Glimpse of Teaching to gain school experience.
The Department for Education (DfE) has a School Experience Programme (SEP) to help you to decide whether teaching is right for you – it could also strengthen your application.
The DfE website also provides information on how to arrange school experience independently.
We have a reputation for excellence in Initial Teacher Education and have over 30 years of experience in training teachers. Our Primary and Secondary PGCE programmes in the School of Education and Lifelong Learning have consistently received endorsement from OfSTED inspectors for the high standard of our courses. Our Lead School partners for School Direct have all been rated Good and Outstanding by OfSTED.
