9-11 May 2014 Residential Weekend, UEA London, 102 Middlesex Street
This intensive weekend will give you the chance to work on your own creative ideas within a creative and interdisciplinary atmosphere, supported by our academic team and by our external partners – the chance to put the knowledge and skills gained during the half-day workshops into practice. At the conclusion of the weekend, you will present your ideas to the whole group and receive feedback on your work.

You will be introduced to the concept of valuing your own work and understanding different sources of funding, as well as more operational issues surrounding financial management and awareness. These will include developing a revenue/financial model for an idea/business, generating interest and securing the funding and resources necessary to take a project/idea forward.

27 September 2013 What is the Creative Economy?

This session will introduce you to some key concepts relating to the creative economy and entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship can be defined as being the creation of value - social, aesthetic or financial. You will be encouraged to see yourself as an entrepreneur, to consider what your 'offer' is and to think about the first steps in the process towards turning your ideas into reality.
