"Do It" grants can help you get your venture off the ground "Do It" grants can help you get your venture off the ground

Have you got an exciting business/idea that you are looking to get off the ground? You can apply for up to £2,000 funding from UEA Student Enterprise to launch your venture.

With the support of Santander Universities, this grant is designed to help launch your business venture. We’re looking to fund people who identify solutions to problems, and who can demonstrate a demand for a product / service that can be marketed to reach customers.

The Do It award is available to all current students and those who have graduated in the last six months.

What next?

  • Complete our application form and project budget sheet which clearly demonstrates how you would use the grant if awarded.
  • You will also need to submit a business plan, which Student Enterprise can support you to develop.
  • View the grading criteria for the Do It award here, in order to get a clear idea of what your application needs to address.

If successful, you will have twelve months to spend the grant.

Before applying, it is worth noting that students and graduates who engage with the services offered by the Student Enterprise team have a significantly higher chance of being awarded funding. This might be through one-to-one coaching, attending workshops and events or having a start-up mentor. Find out more about the range of services offered here.

You can get in touch with the Student Enterprise team by dropping into EnterpriseCentral, emailing info.enterprise@uea.ac.uk.
