The Creative and Critical PhD
In the late 1980s UEA pioneered a new type of PhD, blending academic study into a creative discipline with the actual creation of a work of art, enabling postgraduates to study the actual process of creativity. UEA established a position at the forefront of PhDs in Creative Writing through the Creative and Critical Writing PhD, securing a reputation which continues today.
