In September the School of Environmental Sciences will be marking its 50th anniversary with two flagship events.
ENV50 PANEL AND OPEN DISCUSSION
The road from Paris to Norwich: linking circular economy and climate action
Join colleagues in ENV for this special anniversary event taking place at UEA’s award-winning Enterprise Centre on Friday 15 September. The panel for this open, public discussion will be composed of renowned practitioners operating from international to local level, who will outline their views on the opportunities and risks that arise from the implementation of the Paris Agreement on global climate change.
The discussion will be framed within the rapidly changing political landscape of the UK, Europe and North America, and will also reflect on how future policy and actions could make use of the concept of the ‘circular economy’ that resonates with local enterprises.
The panel will be chaired by Rt Hon Lord Deben (John Gummer). Panel participants include Prof Sir Bob Watson (Tyndall Centre UEA), Laura McGillivray (CEO, Norwich City Council), and Andy Brown (Head of Sustainability, Anglian Water).
