A dedicated workspace for our Speech and Language Therapy students.

Used extensively for taught seminars in core disciplines such as phonetics and linguistics, the Lab houses our anatomy models and 25 workstations with specialist fonts and software for phonetic transcription, acoustic analysis, hearing impairment simulation, and more. Students utilise the Lab outside of timetabled sessions, accessing our internal ‘Teaching Share’ where staff offer additional files and media to support and extend students’ learning.

Home to an extensive range of assessments and therapy materials, providing students with opportunities to explore and informally practice with resources routinely used in clinical practice. Specialist materials for conditions such as fluency disorders and hearing impairment are supplemented by AAC devices and wider child- and adult-focused resources targeting any and all domains of speech, language, and communication.
