Community Clinic

Community Clinic Vision

The Community Clinic will act as a gateway for individuals with neurological conditions, offering assessments, treatment, and referrals to services such as the UEA Sportspark or Able2B, an accessible gym facility in Norwich.

The clinic and the lab will be tightly interconnected, using the lab’s cutting-edge equipment and expertise to deliver comprehensive assessments of movement, strength, balance, symmetry, fitness, and function. If successful, we anticipate relocating the clinic to its own dedicated space. The clinic will be staffed by students, under the supervision of specialist neurological physiotherapists.

People with neurological impairment will be invited to attend the clinic for twice-weekly physiotherapy sessions. Students will be supervised to perform assessment and personalised treatment plans in collaboration with each attendee.

The clinic will run twice a year in 5-week blocks. There will be a nominal charge for this service.

  • The clinic is available to people with the following conditions:

  • Stroke

  • Traumatic brain injury

  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

  • Parkinson’s Disease

  • Spinal cord injury
