During the PGCE year, you spend 120 days in two school placements.
This experience of teaching in different school settings enables you to work with a wide range of different pupils and learn strategies to inspire and instil a love of learning in all of them.
Our extensive partnership includes more than 80 schools, mainly across Norfolk and Suffolk.
Our partner schools cover a wide geographical area, from inner city to rural settings, enabling us to offer you a broad range of contrasting placement opportunities.
During school placement, you will have both subject-specific and pastoral support via a subject mentor.
You'll work closely each day with your mentor and the weekly targets they set will ensure that your teaching practice development takes place effectively. These targets are tailored specifically to your own needs.
In school, you will also benefit from the support of a Professional Tutor, who will offer further pastoral support, as well as coordinating a school specific Professional Development Programme.
