Head of Talent – Frontier Developments

Rob is Head of Talent at Frontier Developments in Cambridge, a video game developer and publisher, and has worked in HR and Recruitment roles for over 20 years across public and private sectors. Rob worked at the National Audit Office (NAO) for 12 years where he started his career in learning and development, helping develop and roll out leadership and management programmes. Eventually moving into recruitment at the NAO, Rob was responsible for the delivery of an annual graduate recruitment campaign to hire 70 Graduates onto a professional accountancy scheme, leading on everything from brand and campaign marketing, university events and engagement, assessment, and on boarding.

Moving to Cambridge from London in 2015, Rob joined Xaar, leaders in digital inkjet print head technology, as Talent Acquisition Manager, hiring for highly technical engineering and science roles. Joining Frontier in 2017, Rob has built a Talent Acquisition team and put the systems, processes, and culture in place to help scale the studio and build game teams. In this role, Rob continues to be passionate about graduate recruitment, identifying and finding opportunities for talented graduate developers across creative and technical disciplines. Rob also leads on wider talent projects including succession planning, talent management, and learning & development.
