Phil Long is a lecturer in Academic Practice in CSED. His doctorate is in education with a special focus on assessment and feedback and he is also a Senior Fellow of the HEA and a Fellow of SEDA. He teaches on the MA in Higher Education Practice and is the module leader for the module Evaluating Teaching. He is responsible for supporting staff who wish to become Fellows or Senior Fellow and organises and runs the popular and successful HEA writing retreats for staff applying for HEA Fellowship. Phil joined UEA in 2015 having previously work at Anglia Ruskin University. Phil has been a teacher for over 30 years and has taught students across the range from foundation degrees to PhD. Phil's particular area of interest lies in the development of dialogic forms of teaching, assessing and providing feedback on assessment and he is looking forward to developing practical applications of these principles as a UTF.
