We recognise that, as a result of recent events, some students who have started a degree in the United States of America may be considering the option of transferring to the UK to complete their studies. We also understand some students who made plans to start studies in the US this September may now need to reconsider their options.
UEA remains dedicated to warmly welcoming students who are exploring opportunities for world-class education overseas. Norwich is a historic UNESCO City of Literature and science cluster with great access to nature, London and the rest of the UK. We are committed to supporting international students by providing an inclusive, safe, and inspiring environment.
We strongly believe international students bring valuable perspectives and talents that enrich UEA’s vibrant academic and cultural community. We are proud to be a truly global university and celebrate our 3,500 international students from more than 100 countries. Our dedicated Global team, current students and academics are committed to providing clear guidance and ongoing support throughout the application journey.
We understand the complexities students face when navigating current international study options. UEA has many courses which consistently rank among the UK’s Top 10 or Top 25 in respected guides such as the Complete University Guide, Guardian, and Times. Many of these courses remain open for application this September 2025 and include our International Undergraduate or Postgraduate Merit Scholarship. On-campus accommodation is also guaranteed for international students who complete the preference form by our deadline.
If you are interested in joining us in Norwich this autumn, you will be warmly welcomed at UEA. We are able to consider transfers from US universities and our international and admissions teams will help give guidance on your specific circumstances. Further information is available via our Study and Apply pages including ways to contact our supportive admissions teams or chat with one of our current students.
