UEA has been ranked among the top 20 universities in the UK for work experience, according to a leading early careers platform.
The Higherin ‘Top Universities for Work Experience 2026-2027' rankings, announced today, placed UEA as 17th overall and top in the East of England.
Higherin (formerly known as RateMyPlacement and RateMyApprenticeship) is a UK-based, student-focused career platform.
These latest rankings are informed by student reviews and reflect the university Careers Teams leading the way in supporting students’ career prospects.
Evan Hancock, Associate Director of Careers and Graduate Success at UEA, said: “Ranking in the top 20 for work experience is a fantastic reflection of the high‑quality placement and work-based learning provision across the institution.
“This achievement would not be possible without the continued collaboration and commitment of colleagues in Career Central and teams across UEA, who work tirelessly to support our students in finding, securing, and succeeding in their placements.”
Anne Patton, Placements Adviser at UEA, said: “I’m delighted to see that we have ranked in the top 20 for work experience and that students have given excellent feedback to Higherin about the support we offer them at UEA.”
UEA’s dedicated careers service, Career Central, offers a range of support, resources and opportunities for students during their studies at the University – as well as continuing support for recent graduates (up to three years).
