The UEA Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Staff (BAME) Staff Network is a friendly support network for staff across campus who identify as part of the BAME community.
The Network exists to foster a supportive community and safe space for BAME staff, promoting the exchange of information, experiences, ideas, and concerns of the Global majority. We will work to empower staff to realise their full potential by creating a positive, safe, and supportive working environment.
We meet regularly; discuss contemporary topics, feed in to UEA policy and take part in shared activities and projects as well as socialising and getting to know others in a relaxed and friendly environment.
We’re always happy for more members to join in. If you’re interested in becoming a member, send an email to equality@uea.ac.uk and we’ll add you to the group.
