WHY CHOOSE UBC OKANAGAN

The University of British Columbia (UBC), established in 1908, is one of Canada's leading research universities and is consistently ranked among the top 40 in the world. Its Okanagan campus is situated in Kelowna in the Okanagan valley, an area of stunning natural beauty, which offers a variety of recreational opportunities for students who enjoy an easy-going, active lifestyle. The Okanagan valley is a beautiful location with beaches, ski-resorts and freshwater lakes.

Purpose-built for the 21st century, the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan campus opened in Kelowna in 2005. It is a close-knit community that offers a variety of clubs, societies and ways to get involved in campus life. With small class sizes, there are also numerous opportunities for students to get involved in research and get hands-on experience in a range of fields of study.

The campus is minutes away from Kelowna’s cultural district, world-class ski resorts and a thriving downtown waterfront. Even if you're not an outdoor lover, there's enough in this small city to explore from galleries and museums to restaurants and bars.
