Taylor's University pioneered the Taylor's Graduate Capabilities (TGC) initiative in 2018. This approach emphasises a student-centred curriculum, aiming to produce graduates who not only possess academic and theoretical knowledge but supplementary qualities such as leadership, creativity and teamwork.

Academic facilities on campus include Anatomy laboratories, photo studios, wine labs and "The Gallery and Critique Room", among others.

Taylor's received the Special Honour Award from the Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia, where the Lakeside Campus was awarded in all three building categories of Interior Design, Architecture and Landscape.

Taylor's University, commonly referred to as Taylor's, is a private university in Subang Jaya in the Malaysian state of Selangor. Taylor's was founded in 1969 as a college, was awarded university college status in 2006 and university status in 2010. The majority of the university is based at the Lakeside Campus which was completed in 2010. Lakeside Campus has two hostels for on-campus student accommodation, and additional accommodation is available off-campus, located within the vicinity of the campus and Subang Jaya area. 

Taylor's is ranked 601-650 in the QS World University Rankings 2019, and 301-350 in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2019 for business and management studies. Lakeside Campus encompasses a modern and functional design with state-of the-art facilities together with lush greenery and its trademark 5.5 acre lake, striking a balance between form and function to embody Taylor's modern approach and perspective in premium education with an approach to holistic growth outside of the classroom. Taylor's has 16 Schools and four faculties, and all classes at the university are taught in English. 

Subang Jaya is a higher education hub, comprising of many large international private colleges and universities, including Taylor's and Monash University's Malaysia Campus.
