WHY CHOOSE ROSKILDE?
Roskilde University, also known as RUC, is a public, research-driven university founded in 1972. It is recognised as one of the best young universities globally in rankings. RUC consists of one large campus area, which includes a large research library, a state-of-the-art laboratory building, student housing, an organic canteen, a sports centre, the International Students Club and many more outdoor facilities.
International students at RUC learn methods and theories within their subject fields and acquire skills in project management. They encounter Danish culture in an informal, creative and democratic student environment.
The campus is located on the outskirts of Roskilde, a city considered as an educational and business centre for the region. The city has a rich social and recreational life and more than 1000 years of history as an important harbour and trading city, dating back to the Viking era. 100,000 visitors go to the Viking Shop Museum in Roskilde every year and the city hosts one of Europe's largest music festivals.
