WHY CHOOSE MUST
Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) was established in October 1989 as the second public university in Uganda. Originally a university to train health professionals, it has now expanded to include six faculties. The university has two campuses, one in the town of Mbarara and one in the suburb of Kihumuro. The Mbarara campus lies on the banks of the scenic meandering Rwizi River.
MUST is a thriving residential campus and community where students live in ‘villages’. On campus there are two halls of residence commonly referred to as the Gents and Ladies flats. The rest of the student population live around the campus in private but accredited hostel facilities provided by the Dean of Students office.
Extra-curricular activities, professional student associations and clubs, performances, forums and sports and games beckon both students as well as the communities around the University. There are also a number of well-known and established student activities, such as KinaMUST and the cultural gala.
