Univerzita Karlova v Praze is the oldest and largest university in the Czechia and considered the leading university in the country. Founded in 1348 and inspired by the renowned universities in Paris and Bologna, it was the first university in Central Europe. It has a worldwide reputation for it's teaching and research excellence. Each year it welcomes plenty of exchange students.
Prague is the capital of Czechia and known for its Baroque architecture, gold statues, church spires and beer. The city has always been a cultural hub and has been home to Mozart, Kafka and many more. The city is packed with museums and galleries to explore as well as the many ornate churches. Traditional Czech restaurants serve food and bakes, while new street food markets are popping up in restored industrial buildings. Located in Central Europe, Prague is in a great location to explore more of continental Europe while also being a reasonably priced city to live.
