During 2012/13 the University of East Anglia may be able to assist students with the cost of their return travel to attend a post offer Visit Day. Only invited students are eligible to attend a Visit Day.

To apply for financial assistance, students must meet one of the following criteria:

1. Eligible for, or receiving, free school meals
2. In care of the Local Authority or a young carer
3. Household income for 2011/12 less than £16,000

Students wishing to apply to the Travel Fund must contact the Recruitment Events Team directly on visitdays@uea.ac.uk or 01603 593251.

Applications will be assessed on an individual basis.

Terms and Conditions:

I. The University will assist students with the cost of their travel to and from a Visit Day up to a maximum of £50 per applicant.

II. All transport arrangements must be agreed in advance of the event via email communication from the University. UEA will not be responsible for covering the cost of transport booked without prior agreement.

III. If the student is travelling by public transport (including taxi) they must bring any relevant tickets / receipt to their Visit Day and will be asked to complete a ‘non-staff expenses form' on the day. We will reimburse the student into their chosen bank account within 28 days of them attending a Visit Day.
