We manage a closed Facebook group for Incoming Study Abroad Students, which we'll invite you to once we’ve received your nomination. If you apply independently please get in touch with us to receive an invitation. This will be an opportunity to meet your fellow students before you arrive, as well as a place where we can post interesting opportunities in the UK as they arise.

We're also contactable on Whatsapp and Line to answer any questions you might have, and you can get in touch on +44 (0) 7789 875146.

Please also look into our blog Brilliant Abroad, and Twitter.

Follow us on Instagram and use the #VisitingUEA hashtag to have your photo featured on our Instagram account.

Use our Campus Map to help you find your way around the campus.

The Student Services has made an International Pre-Departure Guide with useful information about preparing to travel and arriving at UEA.

We also have an incredible app which will help you settle in to life on campus. Download the International Student Handbook and Welcome to UEA guides within the app to have access to orientation events as they're announced. There's also a UEA Jargon buster and practical information about setting up bank accounts, buying a bus pass and more!

Please remember to complete your online preregistration before you arrive. The link to do this is emailed to you approximately 30 days before the classes begin.

It's important to bring the following to registration when you arrive:

  • your passport

  • original transcripts of qualifications

  • English language proof (if required)

  • any documents you used to apply for a visa

  • a print out of the campus map to help you to find us

  • your tickets and/or boarding passes

There will be a number of informative, academic, and social events taking place during the first few weeks after your arrival.  These will be run by the Study Abroad Office, the Student Life team, the Student Union, and the individual subject schools.

Our Orientation programme is released during the summer for September starters and December for January starters. Students will be sent details once they're finalised.

The UEA Security Lodge is open 24 hours a day.  In case of an on-campus emergency, call +44 (0)1603 592222, or if life is in danger, call 999.
