Getting around Norwich and beyond.
Firstbus operate direct services to and from UEA and Norwich city centre. The journey time is a quick 15 minutes and there's a 7 minute frequency so you won't be waiting long. You can also get big discount on the regular ticket price if you buy a season pass or mobile ticket.
Norwich Railway station is just 5 minutes from the city centre and 25 minutes from UEA. There's a twice hourly service to London at peak times and hourly service to East Anglia and central England. Regular buses link to the train station directly and taxis are plentiful and cost less than £10.
There are plenty of reputable taxi firms that you can pre-book in advance and black cabs you can flag down, making getting home after a night out easy and safe.
Norwich is an easy city to cycle in so we recommend bringing your bike! There are several designated cycle paths and quiet routes to UEA, with plenty of secure cycle storage at the University. And you don't have to have a bike to cycle. Free-access cycle hire schemes are now popping up all over Norwich so you can easily hop on and hop off when you're out and about.
Travelling by Air
Norwich International Airport is just 15 minutes from UEA by taxi. There are regular scheduled domestic services as well as multiple daily shuttle flights to Amsterdam where you can connect to over 130 worldwide destinations.
