To be considered for a studentship you do not need to make a separate application. Please indicate on your application for admission that you wish to be considered for a studentship.
From 2018/19 academic year Student Finance England will provide a contribution to costs loan of up to £25,000 from both the English and Welsh governments for new students studying for postgraduate doctoral degree courses, who are not in receipt of Research Council funding, social work or NHS bursaries.
The doctoral loans cover the entire registered course, this means that it covers both the period of study and the period of registration for each course.
