Upcoming Events for Alumni

A networking event will be taking place on 6th March 2013 from 5-7pm in the Thomas Paine Study Centre at UEA. The event has three main aims:

  • Reconnect Philosophy Alumni to the School (just in time for the University's 50th Anniversary)!
  • Inspire our students by sharing your experiences of the diverse directions that a degree in philosophy can take you.
  • Celebrate the success of our alumni.

 John Collins, our Head of School will kick off the evening with a few words. Then there will be a few short presentations from our alumni, describing how their degrees have underpinned their career paths. A wine reception will follow, in which you will have the opportunity to chat with our academics, students and your fellow alumni.

Questionnaire

It would be brilliant for our students to learn about a variety of vocations that have stemmed from a degree in philosophy. If you'd like for us to showcase your career in a case study then please fill out this questionnaire. Your case study would be presented in a format exemplified here and will be an invaluable resource for current and prospective students considering whether to do a degree in philosophy or indeed what to do with a completed degree in philosophy.
