The European Union (EU)supports research and innovation through several interlinked programmes. Between 2014 and 2020, the main EU framework programme is Horizon 2020 and from 2021-2027 it will be Horizon Europe.
UEA has a strong record of leading and participating in EU funded research. We have selected four case studies to demonstrate how European funding can facilitate collaboration between countries and institutions to increase impact. All of these case studies were funded through the Horizon 2020 programme, two through the European Research Council (ERC) and two through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA).
