British Council GREAT Scholarship

This year, in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, UEA is offering a GREAT Scholarship worth £10,000 to students from Bangladesh.

Eligibility

The GREAT Scholarship is open to applicants who are resident in and passport holding nationals of Bangladesh, and who hold an offer of a one year full-time UEA postgraduate taught programme for September 2026 entry.

Amounts will be deducted from your tuition fees, in line with our terms and conditions.

The following courses are not eligible:

  • MSc Global Plant Health

  • MSc Plant Genetics and Crop Improvement

  • MA The Arts of Africa, Oceania and The Americas

Restrictions with other Scholarships

This scholarship can only be received alongside the International Early Payment Awards. You are not able to receive any other UEA Scholarships in addition to this. If you are eligible for another UEA Scholarship of higher value, this will automatically replace this Scholarship. Students receiving sponsorship covering full fees by an outside body or government organisation are not eligible for this scholarship. Government or educational loans that require repayment do not affect eligibility.

Application Process

How to apply

This award is designed to reward applicants who have been offered a place to study with UEA and who can clearly and concisely explain how studying here at UEA will help them to make an outstanding contribution to their chosen field of study by answering the following question:

How will your experience at UEA help you to develop your knowledge and skills for the future?

Submissions should be made via a video of no longer than 2 minutes.

In your submission you should consider:

  • Skills gained from your course

  • The wider opportunities available as an international student at UEA

When applying for this scholarship, you must already be in possession of a conditional or unconditional offer for a postgraduate taught degree course starting at UEA in September 2026. Your offer should state that you are an international fee-paying student.
