Who we are

The Health Data Interpretation Group is part of the Norwich Epidemiology Centre (NEC), a joint venture between UEA’s Norwich Medical School, School of Health Sciences and School of Computing Sciences.

Our Objectives

The overall objective of the Health Data Interpretation Group (HDIG) at the University of East Anglia (UEA) is to analyse and interpret information on people’s health and healthcare in Norfolk so that it can be used to improve the quality of healthcare and to identify opportunities to improve population health.

Our Work

Currently the group is working on a project with Norfolk County Council in collaboration with Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board, producing reports on health care activity in hospital A&E departments and children's mental health services, healthy life expectancy across small geographical areas, and on opportunities to improve population health, in Norfolk and Waveney.
