Gain a global experience.
Make the most of your summer.
Enhance your CV.
UEA students can take part in a short-term study abroad programme during an academic break. These programmes are usually in summer, lasting between one and eight weeks.
It’s the opportunity to enrich your studies by learning not only in a different environment but also experiencing a new culture. There’s a wide variety of options, including academic, cultural and language courses.
You could study a subject-specific course related to your degree, or choose something completely different. Your short-term course could focus on skills, cultural immersion, or language.
The programmes do not count towards your degree but are a fantastic opportunity for you to experience life at an international university and meet students from around the world.
At the end of the course, you’ll receive a certificate or transcript. You can list this certificate on your CV to show employers your experience abroad.
As a student at the University of East Anglia, you could apply for funding that helps towards the cost of the trip.
