Accepted qualifications

  • We welcome applications from students with a range of qualifications, including the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Érettségi Bizonyítvány/Matura.

     

    A level IB Érettségi Bizonyítvány
    AAA 34 5 5 in Advanced level subjects,  5 5 5 in Intermediate level subjects
    AAB 33 5 4 in Advanced level subjects,  5 5 4 in Intermediate level subjects
    ABB 32 5 4 in Advanced level subjects,  4 4 4 in Intermediate level subjects
    BBB 31 4 4 in Advanced level subjects,  4 4 4 in Intermediate level subjects

     

    These are guidelines only. Our course catalogue details the ‘typical’ offers for most courses – you’ll also need to meet our minimum GCSE (or equivalent) requirements and write a personal statement

    English language requirements

    If English is not your first language you may be required to provide evidence of proficiency in English language, for example with these test scores. 

    • Cambridge English: B2 First, C1 Advanced OR C2 Proficiency. 169 overall with a minimum of 162 in each component
    • International Baccalaureate English: English A at HL4 or SL4. English B at HL4 or SL5

    These are guidelines only.  Please be sure to check on the 'requirements' tab for your specific course.

    We also accept a wide range of other English language qualifications - see our English language equivalencies for details.

    If you don't yet meet these requirements, INTO UEA  provide short and intensive preparation in English language and study skills for undergraduate or postgraduate study at UEA.

  • All applicants must have at least a 2.1 honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field of study. Entry requirements vary across Schools and courses – please check the details for your specific course.

    It is normally expected that students wishing to undertake postgraduate research in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities or Social Sciences will hold a relevant Masters degree (and 7.0 IELTS, where evidence of English language is required).

    Applicants to the Faculty of Science or Medicine and Health Sciences can either have a Masters degree or a strong Bachelors degree, equivalent to UK 2.1 or above (and 6.5 IELTS).
