UEA Portuguese Society

If you'd like to get in touch with some of our current Portuguese students, you can contact the UEA Portuguese Society at ueaportuguesesociety@gmail.com. The society aims to create a neighbourly community to support new students and to have fun.

Accepted Qualifications

  • We welcome applications from students with a range of qualifications, including the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Diploma de Ensino Secundario/Nivel Secundario de Educacao and American High School Diploma.

    AAB 33 18 GPA 3.5 plus three AP tests at 4
    ABB 32 17 GPA 3.5 plus three AP tests at 4

  • All applicants must have at least a 2.1 honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field of study. Entry requirements vary across Schools and courses – please check details for your specific course.

    It is normally expected that students wishing to undertake postgraduate research in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities or Social Sciences will hold a relevant Master’s degree (and 7.0 IELTS, where evidence of English language is required).

    Applicants to the Faculty of Science or Medicine and Health Sciences can either have a Master’s degree or a strong Bachelor’s degree, equivalent to UK 2.1 or above (and 6.5 IELTS).
