My name is Lorena, and I am the International Ambassador for Latin America.
When I decided to study abroad in UK, I wanted to chose the best school and I found UEA as one of the best option for my Master's. Investigating and reading all the good comments about it I decided to give it a try and now I am more than happy with my decision, not only because of the excellent professors and academic structure but also all the great experiences you get by being a student here. First thing you will find is a very warm welcome with events, games and parties, after that you will discover it's not only during the first week and you will always have available options during your stay like social clubs, diverse activities, seminars, sports and so on, so if you are a very active person you will never get bored! Just to give you an idea: in the first two months after I arrived I had participated in many different classes like archery, tap, Irish dance, fencing; I've carved my first pumpkin, performed by singing a song at the drama club, explored the city, dyed socks, decorated a donut (and ate it after of course), and lots more! The best part is that most of those activities were totally FREE! On the other hand, if you prefer to relax and chill out, there is a lake surrounded by a great natural biodiversity, different spaces in buildings with quiet places, coffee shops, and a hill were you can appreciate a beautiful sunset. In addition, you can always join the international students club to meet people from all over the world and share experiences.
As well as all this you will have the city of Norwich within 40-50 mins walk or 15 mins by bike. The city is pretty quiet, makes you feel safe but with many options to have fun; it is a lovely place with tons of activities like theatre, music, clubs, parks, restaurants, museums, and even a Churros truck!
Please don't hesitate to contact me through Unibuddy if you have any questions, it will be my pleasure to help!
