My UEA Story: Trishala

My first week at UEA was very exciting. Everyone in the University was very welcoming and made me feel at home. I met the lecturers of the UEA Law department and faculty members who helped me in selecting my modules. The classes usually comprised of not more than 15 people and took place at Earlham Hall which has beautiful architecture from the 16th century.

There are around 200 societies at UEA and I chose to join the TEDx Society. I’m in the committee of the society which has helped me in developing my soft skills and I have also made friends from different parts of the world.

Norwich is a calm and aesthetically beautiful city. There is always something interesting happening in the city like the vintage sales. Norwich Market, which is one of the attractions of the city, reminds me of India. There are restaurants which offer different cuisines from around the world and the spices to cook with are easily available in the Indian and the Asian stores.

The Indian community at UEA is sufficiently big. There is also an Indian Society which organizes events such as the Diwali Ball, Bollywood night and other fun events and activities.
