Cases for promotion, special increments, discretionary awards and ex-gratia payments for support staff are considered in line with the Annual Review Procedure for Support Staff, with further guidance provided in the Guidance on Criteria for Annual Review of Support Staff (Appendix 1).

Members of support staff whose cases will be reviewed through the Annual Review Procedure for Support Staff, should complete a Support Staff Special Increment or Discretionary Award Form or a Support Staff Promotion Form.

Members of support staff whose cases will be considered for an ex-gratia payment should complete the Annual Review – Ex-Gratia Payment Form and may wish to refer to the Ex-Gratia Payment Guidelines.

Requests for promotion and salary advancement will not be considered outside this process except in cases of reorganisation or restructure where further advice should be sought from Human Resources.
