The University acknowledges the impact that the threat of redundancy has on members of staff and seeks to ensure fairness and objectivity throughout the process of selecting members of the workforce for redundancy, and to make reasonable efforts where possible to find alternative employment.

The Guidelines for dealing with Redundancy and Redeployment identify the guiding principles and approach that will be adopted by the University when faced with possible redundancies.

All members of staff who have been provisionally selected for redundancy may choose to be entered on to the University's Redeployment Register.
