Amelia Opie at 250 (22nd May 2019) – we hosted a panel moderated by Dr Carol Stewart and featuring Dr Liz Bellamy, Dr Daniel Cook, Dr Hana Hill and Dr James Wood speaking about different aspects of Amelia Opie's life and work to celebrate the anniversary of her birth.
We also run occasional research seminars featuring leading eighteenth and nineteenth century literature scholars. In 2018/19 we hosted Dr Aaron R. Hanlon (Colby College, Maine) and this year has featured a seminar from Professor Simon Kövesi (Oxford Brookes).
