UEA journalism lecturers have current or recent industry experience and are supported by expert technical staff who will help you produce your journalism in a realistic work-like setting.
Lecturers have worked at the BBC, ITV and for local and regional newspapers. They have experience in a wide variety of newsrooms producing news stories and programmes for radio, TV and online.
As practising journalists staff offer cutting-edge industry experience of content production and newsroom management. Along with UEA’s excellent technical team, they will coach and mentor you to success. Teaching time is typically between 9-17 hours a week including guest speakers who will give you advice on getting into the industry. As part of your learning you’ll be busy working on real journalism projects every week and contributing to our website which will boost your CV when you eventually apply for a job either in the UK or in your home country.
