We run regular Employer events, inviting important employers from different sectors (such as finance, consulting, policy, and the Government Economics Service). These talks raise awareness of the different career paths and understand how economics is applied in different sectors and across different roles. Specialised talks by employers are offered within the relevant modules.
We have a range of careers workshops available for all Economics students. These include understanding careers options, how to write effective CVs or cover letters, how to be successful in assessment centres and interviews, and how to use social media effectively.
Extra-curricular IT activities, such as familiarising with Python and web scraping. We give various employability awards tailored to the strengths of economics.
