A UEA alumni event will bring together alumni from the faculties of Science, Social Sciences, and Arts and Humanities, representing generations of graduates, for a day of networking and celebration.
Hosted at the UEA on Thursday 14 May, the event will welcome alumni from a wide range of subjects, offering course specific networking opportunities alongside current students and UEA academics.
Attendees will have the chance to reconnect with former coursemates, meet new contacts from across generations, and strengthen links with the university community.
Alongside the alumni event, a series of free, campus activities will take place throughout the afternoon and evening, showcasing student creativity and academic research and highlighting UEA’s impact locally, regionally and globally.
Event highlights include a panel discussion on ‘The Future of Work’, bringing together alumni, current students and academics from Law, Economics, Education and Norwich Business School to explore career pathways, talk about artificial intelligence and the changing workplace.
Creative talent will also be celebrated at the Snoo Wilson Prize Giving Event for Student Scriptwriting, led by Prof Steve Waters and featuring readings by current drama students and guest playwright Janice Okoh.
Visitors will also be able to explore a festival style trail of student work, with exhibitions and displays hosted across multiple campus buildings throughout the day.
In the evening, UEA Court will bring together University partners and associates to hear more about UEA’s work and impact across Norwich, the wider region and beyond, but you must confirm attendance for this specific event via uea.court@uea.ac.uk.
Georgette Ward, Interim Director of Development, Alumni and Campaigns, said: “We’re so pleased to be welcoming hundreds of our alumni back on to campus on 14 May.
“Whether it’s recent graduates looking to build their professional network, or people who studied here in the 60s returning for the first time in decades, our alumni make our university community richer.
We’ll be there to greet them and introduce them to faculty members, and the event coincides with a week-long student cultural festival, so our alumni will experience the creativity of our current students firsthand.”
The event is free to attend with advance registration, sign up here.
