Over the winter break, some facilities and services at UEA will have reduced opening hours and partial closures.
Food and drink outlets
UNIO (Union House): Closed from 24 December to 11 January
Zest (level 01, The Square): Closed from 24 December to 4 January
Vista (level 1, The Square): Closed from 13 December to 11 January
Ziggy's (The Street): Closed from 24 December to 2 January
Blend (level 0, The Square: Closed from 13 December to 11 January
Cafe 57 (Julian Study Centre): Closed from 13 December to 11 January
Grain (The Enterprise Centre): Closed from 20 December to 4 January
Sportspark
The Sportspark will be closed on Thursday 25 December, Friday 26 December and on Thursday 1 January. For full details on activities and opening times, visit the Sportspark website.
The shop
The shop will remain open as usual over the winter break but with reduced opening hours of 11am to 3pm from Tuesday 23 December to Thursday 1 January. The Shop will also be closed on the morning of Friday 9 January for a stock take.
bar(su)
bar(su) will be closed from Sunday 21 December and will reopen on Monday 12 January.
Sainsbury Centre
The Sainsbury Centre will be closed between Monday 22 December and Friday 26 December, and on Thursday 1 January. The Sainsbury Centre will be open from 10am and 5pm between Saturday 27 and Wednesday 31 December, although the Modern Life Café will be closed on those dates. Medical Centre
The UEA Medical Centre (UMS) will close on Thursday 25 December and reopen on Monday 2 December. UMS will close again on Thursday 1 January and reopen on Friday 2 January. When closed, please phone NHS 111 for medical assistance, or 999 in a life-threatening emergency. For full details on opening hours and booking appointments, visit the UMS webpage.
Library
The Library will be open 24/7 throughout the winter break, with UEA Security staff available at the Library reception desk. Library staff will be available to answer queries up until 4.30pm on Tuesday 23 December and from 9am on Monday 5 January. Buses
Winter break bus arrangements can be found on the FirstBus and Konectbus websites.
