UEA has been ranked 9th in Rate My Placement’s Best University for Work Experience Awards 2025-26. The awards, which were announced on 5 February, saw 50 other universities taking part from across the country and were based solely on student-written reviews of their placements and the support their university provided them with.
Anne Patton, Placements Adviser, said: “It is our first time taking part in these awards so it's an absolutely fantastic achievement to debut within the top 10 and great to see that our students rate our support so highly.”
The Placements Team, based in CareerCentral, ensure that students are well equipped for work experience placements, providing them with support in finding placements, sessions on getting ‘work ready’, and one-to-one coaching appointments.
Evan Hancock, Associate Director of Graduate Success (Careers Service) expressed his thanks, saying: “A wide range of colleagues collaborate across UEA to help support our placement students with their work experience. A huge thank you to all those teams in the careers service and beyond whose combined efforts ensure our students receive the essential support they need.”
