On Thursday 9 May, Prof Anne-Marie Minihane, Head of the Nutrition and Prevention Research Group in Norwich Medical School, presented the first UEA Lasdun Lecture to be hosted on the University of East Anglia (UEA) campus.
The Lasdun Lectures are high-profile lectures sharing the best of UEA's groundbreaking research with the public, with a particular focus on bringing UEA's alumni together.
The ‘Menopause for All’ lecture, hosted during Women’s Health Month and in collaboration with HealthUEA, saw Prof Minihane talk about well-being through the menopausal transition and how she is proactive in ensuring that research finding rapidly informs emerging population policy and services, through interaction with groups such as the governmental All Party Parliamentary Group on the menopause.
In addition to this year’s Lasdun Lecture during Women’s Health Month, HealthUEA has also published a women's health collection, inviting experts from across the University to explore various aspects of this field.
