Original and innovative thinkers are being invited to speak at a TEDx event and share ideas that inspire audiences, challenge assumptions and leave a lasting impact.
Applications are now open for individuals with ideas, insights and experiences that can inspire discussion and spark positive change.
TEDxUEA: Original Minds, hosted by the University of East Anglia and taking place on 11 November 2026, will showcase a diverse range of speakers exploring some of the most pressing and exciting topics shaping society today.
This year's themes are:
Selected speakers will deliver a 10-minute TEDx talk to a live audience, offering a unique opportunity to share their ideas on a globally recognised platform that celebrates innovation, curiosity and thought-provoking conversations.
TEDx events are independently organised and TEDxUEA: Original Minds aims to bring together people from different disciplines, backgrounds and experiences to explore new perspectives and encourage meaningful dialogue.
Organisers are keen to hear from individuals with original ideas, personal stories, research findings or projects that align with the event themes.
James Gardiner, Associate Dean for Student Experience and Outcomes, said: "TEDxUEA is all about celebrating the power of ideas and the people behind them.
"We're looking for speakers who can bring fresh perspectives, challenge the way we think and inspire meaningful conversations around some of the most important issues facing society today.
"Whether your idea comes from research, professional experience or a personal journey, we'd love to hear from you."
The event offers a chance to engage audiences with ideas that have the potential to inform, challenge and inspire.
The deadline for speaker applications is Monday 31 August.
