The EPSRC UK-India Project, which Prof Gerard Parr (School of Computing Sciences) leads from UEA in partnership with University College London, University of Surrey, Southampton University, BT, Indian Institute of Science Bangalore and Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi, signed an important MoU at the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC).
This will foster future collaborations in the important domain of Future Telecoms.
The IMC is organized by the Indian Government Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operator Association of India (COAI). The IMC has established itself as one of Asia's most prominent technology expos. Since its inception, IMC has positioned itself as a leading forum for bringing together industry, government, academia, and other ecosystem players to discuss, deliberate, demonstrate, and display the latest trends in the realm of Telecom, Media, and Technology (TMT)and ICT.
The event ran from Monday 14 October 2024 in Delhi and had approximately 150,000 attendees over the week-long set of industrial exhibits, panels and product announcements from the ICT sector. In parallel to the IMC, a major international symposium was organised by the Bharat 6G Alliance, to which Prof Parr was invited to participate and give a keynote across two panels.
On Thursday 14 August, thousands of students across the UK will discover what their future holds. Students Earlgi, John, Gab and Imie – who each found their futures at UEA through Clearing after changing ambitions or missed grades – share their stories.
