Computer tools can simplify the study of ancient cadastres, including Roman centuriations. Several of these aids have been developed and/or used here. Some of them are akin to instruments such as microscopes, in that they allow a more detailed or more accurate view of the data. They are for:
A computer tool of another type allows us to test our perception of a particular pattern - the apparent links between centuriation grids and oblique features.
