The Cyber Security, Privacy and Trust Lab develops leading-edge research across the breadth of the subject, with aim of delivering real-world impact and affecting change across society.

The Lab researches cyber security in terms of the technologies involved as well as considering the broader human-aspects of the subject. Our work views cyber security as a problem that cannot be solved with technology alone, as we consider the wider implications and impacts. The research carried out in the lab spans a broad range of topics including usable security, privacy, trust management, authentication and identification, biometrics, BlockChain, IoT, cryptography, cloud computing, algorithmic decision making and applying intelligent technologies into the cyber security domain.

The members of the Lab have strong links to industry and government, and welcome potential research collaborations. To date our research has been funded by EPSRC, DSTL, MoD, ESRC, Innovate UK, industry and Government.
