On-Campus Accommodation for Families

We have very limited family houses available for the 2026-2027 academic year and are currently operating a waiting list.

You can apply on the Accommodation Portal provided you are either a current student or have accepted a course offer.

UEA family houses are suitable for two adults. The house can also accommodate up to two children under the age of 10. Non-student spouses/partners are allowed to live in these properties as long as the lead tenant is a full-time UEA student.

The family houses consist of two bedrooms (one double and one twin/bunk bed), open plan kitchen/living room and bathroom with shower over bath. Houses are furnished and costs include water, gas, electricity and internet access.

Suffolk Walk – situated next to Suffolk Terrace in the heart of the UEA campus.

2026/2027 academic year rent: £46.32 per night (£324.24 per week)

Village Close – Situated on the edge of campus within the University Village.

2026/2027 academic year rent: £45.61 per night (£319.27 per week)

Students living in family houses sign an Assured Shorthold Tenancy which runs from the date of arrival to 1 September. Upon signing the contract, tenants are obliged to fulfil the first 10 months of the contract and will then switch to a 4 week notice to cancel period.

For students living with us for more than a year, new contracts will automatically be offered from 1 September each year, if they will continue to be a full time UEA student.

Rental increases will be applied from this date. We do not require a deposit, guarantor or rental payments in advance of arrival.
