How does Westminster work? What is the relationship between political journalists and politicians? How will political reporting change in the age of X? These are among the questions you will consider during this module as you learn the art and craft of political reporting. We will analyse political interviews, look at lobby journalism and inspire you to tell political stories in ways which both engage your audience and lift the lid on policy and power. You will also get a chance to produce your own political story. This module appeals to those looking to work in political journalism, international relations, public affairs and PR This is a priority module for Broadcast Journalism students. Students on other courses may take this module if spaces are available.
