FOI_26-253 Students enrolled and receiving extra time adjustments

We have now considered your request of 02 October 2026 for the following information:

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 I am writing to request information regarding the provision of extra time in exams as a reasonable adjustment for students.

Question 1. Please provide the following recorded information for each of the last 10 academic years (2015/16, 2016/17, 2017/18, 2018/19, 2019/20, 2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24, and 2024/25):

Total student headcount: The total number of fully enrolled students (undergraduate and postgraduate combined) registered at the university in each academic year.

Question 2. Students granted extra time: The total number of individual students who were granted extra time in timed examinations/assessments as a reasonable adjustment (or through a disability/inclusion student support agreement) in each academic year.
