FOI_26-210 Nursing graduates in General Practice
Date of response: 15 September 2026
We have now considered your request of 02 September 2026 for the following information:
Question 1. How many of your nursing graduates went into general practice roles after graduating in 2025 and out of how many graduates was this? (Ie – 25 graduates went into general practice out of 200)
Can we have this data for the last five years from 2020? (Presented as year on data)
It may be too early to tell but do you have this data from the graduating year of 2026?
Our response:
On this occasion it is not possible to provide any of the requested information. In line with your rights under section 1(1)(a) of the Act to be informed whether information is held, we confirm that the University does not hold any recorded information for the number of Nursing graduates who started employment in General Practice roles post graduations in 2025, and or the previous years since 2020.
The University do not ask our Nursing Graduates whether they are in employment within General Practice roles and do not collect this information post-graduation.
Whilst our graduates are asked to complete Graduate Survey through HESA, the level of information requested is not captured.
