We have now considered your request of 27 August 2026 for the following information:
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I am writing to request admissions statistics for the most recent 2026 entry cycle for your undergraduate Medicine courses: Standard Entry Medicine (A100) and Graduate Entry Medicine (A101).
If the 2026 admissions cycle is not yet fully completed or finalized, please provide the data currently available up to the date of this request, or alternatively, the finalized data for the 2025 entry cycle.
Please could you provide the following information for Home/UK applicants:
Section 1: Standard Entry Medicine (A100)
Question 1. What was the total number of applications received?

Question 2. What was the total number of applicants invited to interview?

Question 3. What was the total number of offers made?

Question 4. What was the lowest, highest, and average UCAT cognitive score for applicants invited to interview?

Question 5. Of the total A100 applicants, how many were applying as graduates (holding or in the final year of a degree)?

Question 6. How many of those graduate applicants were invited to interview, and how many were made an offer?

2025: 59 invited to interview and 52 offered
2026: 44 invited to interview and 26 offered
Section 2: Graduate Entry Medicine (A101)
Note: I am particularly interested in the cohort of applicants who applied using the UCAT (i.e., those holding a Biomedical Science or relevant bioscience degree), rather than those using the GAMSAT.
Question 7. What was the total number of applications received for the A101 course?

Question 8. Of those total applications, how many applied using the UCAT route, and how many applied using the GAMSAT route?

2025: UCAT 252 and GAMSAT 70
2026: UCAT 366 and GAMSAT 91
Question 9. For the applicants who applied using the UCAT, what was the lowest, highest, and average UCAT cognitive score invited to interview?
Our response:
2025: UCAT 2307 and GAMSAT 51

Lowest UCAT score for 44 graduate applicants invited to A100 interview - 1740
Question 10. How many UCAT applicants were invited to interview, and how many were made an offer?
Our response:
2025: 147 invited to interview and 38 offered
2026: 155 invited to interview and 54 offered.
Question 11. How many GAMSAT applicants were invited to interview, and how many were made an offer?
Our response:
2025: 50 invited to interview and 11 offered
2026: 46 invited to interview and 16 offered
Section 3: Situational Judgement Test (SJT) Weighting
There appears to be conflicting information regarding how UEA utilizes the UCAT SJT banding. Please could you clarify:
Question 12. How exactly is the SJT band incorporated into the admissions process? (e.g., if it is integrated into the final interview score, please provide the specific numerical point values or weighting awarded to a Band 1, Band 2, Band 3, and Band 4).
Our response:
2025: In 2025 we advertised our intention to use the SJT score at interview stage, however at point of ranking and offering the decision was made to exclude the SJT. Therefore, it was not used at any stage of the admission process.
2026: There is no score allocated at any stage to the SJT score. However, we will not progress an application with a SJT score of 4.
